Lifting Operations & Rigging Safety Training

Course overview

Following the sequence of a safe lift – plan, check equipment, check the load, set the exclusion zone, communicate, test, lift and place – participants learn the rigging and signalling practices that prevent dropped loads and crane incidents.

By the end of the program, participants will be able to:

• Follow the steps of a planned lifting operation
• Inspect slings, shackles and lifting accessories
• Estimate load weight and centre of gravity
• Use standard hand signals and control the lift area
